Black Papillon Wine
Discover a blend of audacious and impertinent wines 100% Alsatian.
What makes this range special
Three years of research, trials and taste-tests were necessary to perfect this new wine. Bearing Wolfberger’s colors of black and gold, the Black Papillon proudly asserts itself in an intriguing bottle. It all starts with a surprisingly contemporary label, a powerful golden stag crowned with the traditional Alsatian headdress – a black bow called the papillon, or butterfly. That’s where the name for this epicurean wines comes form, mixing tradition and modernity. The surprises continue with the choice of a screw-cap closure, completely different from traditional corks. Finally, the Black Papillon breaks with the Alsatian tradition of using only one varietal in a wine. It’s a precise blend, but one kept secret. This whimsical extravagance of Wolfberger’s, one that breaks with custom can be served throughout the entire meal, from the aperitif to dessert. This dry, fresh and fleshy wine has a long finish on the palate and goes well with a broad array of foods.
