The “Sélection de Grains Nobles” are made from a series of manual selections of grapes that have “noble rot” or Botrytis Cinerea. The chosen berries have an exceptionally concentrated taste; the wines are powerful and rich with quite remarkable aromatic complexity. The name Sélection de Grains Nobles is part of the Alsace Wine Appellations.

What makes the range special

Sorting the best grapes from the smallest harvests, this rare and prestigious wine is the quintessence of the winegrower’s work. The sugar equivalent that the grape must have in order to be used is 18.2% by volume, but it’s such a meticulous job that the WOLFBERGER winegrowers often reach new heights, smashing that level and sometimes attaining a rich level of sugar equal to 21% or even 23% by volume.
